Irrfan Khan, an Indian actor, worked in Indian cinema, British films, and American movies.

His portrayal of the title character in Paan Singh Tomar earned him the National Film Award.

Khan appeared in films like The Lunchbox, Piku, and Talvar, and had supporting roles in The Amazing Spider-Man and Life of Pi.

Notable roles of his included those in Slumdog Millionaire, New York, and Gunday.

His highest-grossing Hindi films were Hindi Medium, and his last project was Angrezi Medium, both earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Collectively, his films made $3 as of last year, with a worldwide box office total of over 600 billion.

Unfortunately, Khan passed away from illness on April 29, 2020.

Regarded as a distinguished and charismatic actor in both Hindi and English-language cinema, Khan was hailed by Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian as a link between South Asian and Hollywood film industries.
